Welcome to SCC Women 2012-2013. Our theme this year is Becoming Women Of The Word. The Bible is one of God’s greatest gifts to us. What is the great value of the Word of God for us? God speaks to us and teaches us in His Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17). He uses it to accomplish His purpose in our lives (Isaiah 55:11). The Word of God revives and comforts our hearts (Psalm 119:50). In the Bible we see Jesus and grow more intimate with Him (John 5:39-40). If you want to know what is true, open the pages of the Word of God, for it is truth (John 17:17). When you need a roadmap for life, open your Bible, for it is a lamp for your feet and a light for your path (Psalm 119:105). Oh how wondrous and majestic is the Word of God. We need to know God’s Word better than we know television shows or news reports. When we are faced with adversity, the Word of God is what the Holy Spirit uses in our life to keep us strong and steadfast.

Jonothan Goforth said that we can entertain no hope of a globe-encircling revival without there first being a back to the Bible movement. So this year, dear friends, let’s be extravagant with God’s Word and let it richly dwell within us (Colossians 3:16).

Join us this year in studying God’s Word, sharing His love with other women, and becoming women of the Word.
